Carianne Marshall
Carianne Marshall is the Co-Chair and Chief Operating Officer of Warner Chappell Music (WCM), leading the global music publisher alongside Co-Chair and CEO Guy Moot. Under their joint leadership, WCM has achieved remarkable growth, doubling the size of the business and significantly strengthening its international presence. Since Marshall joined WCM in 2019, the company has signed and retained both established and emerging artists, songwriters, and producers, including Amy Allen, Dua Lipa, Laufey, Raye, ROSÉ, Stromae, Teddy Swims, and Zach Bryan, as well as some of music’s most iconic legends and their catalogs, among them David Bowie, George Michael, Madonna, Quincy Jones, and Tom Petty.
Widely recognized as a structural innovator and a fierce champion for creators, Marshall has redefined what a modern publisher can achieve. She pioneered WCM’s groundbreaking Creative Services department, a forward-looking division that moves far beyond traditional sync and A&R to focus on holistic songwriter amplification across all creative media, keeping creators at the center of the cultural conversation.
Prior to WCM, as one of three partners at SONGS, Marshall built and oversaw the sync team and orchestrated landmark deals, establishing a roster of over 300 songwriters, including Diplo, Lorde, and The Weeknd. Marshall has been named to Billboard’s Women in Music and Power 100 lists, as well as Variety’s 500 list, numerous times.
