Ben Katovsky

Ben Katovsky is the CEO of Recognition Music Group, a leading music rights management and investment company.

At the helm of Recognition, Ben oversees a portfolio of over 45,000 songs and recordings from over 145 catalogues, including many of the most iconic songs of all time by songwriters and artists including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, Eurythmics,  Shakira and Journey. His mission is to enhance the legacy and value of these timeless works.

Ben has more than two decades experience driving innovation and growth in the music business. Before leading Recognition, he held a series of senior roles at BMG, including Chief Operating Officer, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s global success.

His career began at Counterpoint Systems, working with clients including Sony Music Publishing, BMG, Chrysalis, Bug Music, Cherry Lane and Imagem to develop and deploy technology to better manage music rights — an approach that continues to influence his strategic vision today.
