NMPA Announces Top Gold & Platinum Songwriters for October 2017

WASHINGTON, D.C. – NMPA today announced the top songwriters, publishers, and 499 certifications of hit songs for October as part of its Gold & Platinum Program. The full list of top songwriters and publishers for this month can be found here.
In partnership with the RIAA’s Gold & Platinum Program, NMPA finds and certifies the songwriters and publishers of RIAA-certified singles. RIAA counts both sales and on-demand streams towards its Gold (500K), Platinum (1M) and Multi-Platinum (2M+) thresholds. Thousands of songwriters have been recognized since NMPA’s program began in 2007.
The top songwriter with 22 certifications is Chris Brown (UMPG): Look At Me Now, Yeah 3x, Don’t Wake Me Up, and Deuces all certified Multi-Platinum, Platinum and Gold; and Beautiful People, Back To Sleep, She Ain’t You, Strip, and Turn Up The Music all certified Platinum and Gold.
