Mike Molinar
Mike Molinar is the President and co-founder of Big Machine Music (BMM), a full-service, independent music publishing company and division of HYBE America with offices in both Nashville and Santa Monica. He brings nearly thirty years of experience as a music publisher and advocate for songwriters.
Molinar oversees all aspects of BMM which has been named Nashville Independent Music Publisher of the Year in both 2025 and 2021 by the AIMP. With a catalog of over 15,000 songs featuring 66 #1 airplay hits across genres, BMM has been ranked in Billboard’s Top 10 Hot Country Publishing Corp in each of the last eight years and boasts consecutive nominations for GRAMMY® Songwriter of the Year in each of the category’s first four years (Laura Veltz and Jessie Jo Dillon). The catalog features six RIAA Diamond-certified hits as well as global hits “abcdefu”, “The Bones”, “10,000 Hours” and 11 #1 hits co-written and recorded by Luke Combs.
A board member of the National Music Publisher Association since 2019, Molinar also currently serves on the board of Music Health Alliance and is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame Education Council. His prior board work includes being a founding member of the board for the first five years of the Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC), as well as several terms on the Academy of Country Music.
Molinar has been named as one of Billboard’s Country Power Players (2020-’25) and was a member of the 2021 Nashville cohort for Harvard Business School’s Young American Leaders Program. In 2026, he served as the co-host for Cafecito benefiting Conexion Americas and in June of 2023, he testified at the Congressional IP Sub-committee hearing on the impact of the Music Modernization Act.
Molinar was named a Rider Scholar while attending Westminster Choir College in Princeton, N.J. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1998 where he was inducted into the College of Media and Entertainment’s Wall of Fame in 2021.
