About NMPA

The National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) is a trade association for the American music publishing industry. Founded in 1917, NMPA represents American music publishers and their songwriting partners. The NMPA’s mandate is to protect and advance the interests of music publishers and songwriters in matters relating to the domestic and global protection of music copyrights.

Our Team

NMPA's staff works to serve songwriters and music publishers every day. From lawsuits to lobbying and public relations, we are on the front lines fighting for the value of songs. We also host events across the country to celebrate music creators and those who support for them.

Our Board

The NMPA Board of Directors is comprised of songwriters and songwriter advocates from companies large and small. With representation across all genres and types of catalogs, our Board is proud to work towards solving the immense challenges facing our industry.
