| NMPA Names Jay Rosenthal General Counsel |

WASHINGTON—David Israelite, President and CEO of the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA), announced today that he has named Jay Rosenthal as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. Rosenthal comes to the NMPA from the Washington, D.C. law firm of Berliner, Corcoran & Rowe, LLP. While at Berliner he was the General Counsel of the Recording Artists’ Coalition (RAC), and represented other music industry organizations including SoundExchange, The Washington Area Music Association, and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA). He has also represented numerous songwriters, publishers, recording artists, independent record labels, managers, radio personalities, and producers, including Thievery Corporation, ESL Records, Mya, Salt N Pepa, Sweet Honey in the Rock, Dr. Bernice Johnson-Reagon, Jonathan Edwards and Mary Chapin-Carpenter. “Jay’s music credentials are impeccable,” Israelite said. “With so many of the questions that will determine the future financial success of music publishers and songwriters being answered in the legal system, NMPA is fortunate to have a seasoned legal veteran join our team.” Mr. Rosenthal is a Professorial Lecturer in Entertainment Law at the George Washington University Law School and an Adjunct Professor of Entertainment Law at the Washington College of Law at The American University. He is a Contributing Editor with Entertainment, Law & Finance, and is a periodic contributor to Billboard and other industry newsletters and journals. He received an undergraduate degree in history and a master’s degree in international affairs from The American University, a law degree from The Antioch School of Law, where he was Editor of the Antioch Law Journal, and a Master of Law in International and Comparative Law from Georgetown University Law Center.
