| Caroline Bienstock Joins NMPA Board |

WASHINGTON—The National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) today announced that Caroline Bienstock, President and Chief Operating Officer of Carlin America, Inc., has been tapped to join NMPA’s Board of Directors. “We are so pleased to have Caroline on board in this capacity,” said President and CEO David Israelite. “She is a person of boundless energy and vision, who has provided industry leadership on many fronts. We are fortunate to have her voice at the NMPA Board table.” Bienstock has been President and Chief Operating Officer at Carlin America, Inc. since 1989, in which time she has become regarded as among the most respected, astute and dynamic executives in the music industry. A New York City native, Bienstock graduated cum laude from Yale College in 1979 before earning her JD at Boston University School of Law four years later and becoming an associate at the New York offices of Seyfarth Shaw Fairweather & Geraldson. After acquiring an MBA from the Wharton School in 1987, she joined the Private Client Services division at Golman, Sachs & Co. for two years before being named to her current post. Her main areas of concentration include the Carlin operation in Nashville, the organization-wide expansion into film music acquisitions and licensing, catalog growth and administration, and the newly-activated Carlin Music Publishing Canada Inc. subsidiary. Additionally, she is the current Executive Director of the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP), on the Board of the Advisory Panel for the BMI Foundation, and a Member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), the Copyright Society and the Entertainment and Sports Law section of the New York State Bar Association. |
