NMPA Announces Changes in Board Leadership
Martin Bandier, Roger Faxon and David Johnson Named Directors

Washington, DC - National Music Publishers' Association President and CEO David M. Israelite announced today that Martin Bandier, David Johnson and Roger Faxon have been elected members of the Board of Directors.

David Johnson is CEO of Warner/Chappell Music. He was previously Warner Music Group's (WMG) Executive Vice President and General Counsel.  Widely considered a leading legal expert in the music industry, Johnson joined WMG in 1999 and has considerable experience in a broad range of music and entertainment matters.  

Roger Faxon took on leadership of EMI Music Publishing earlier this year when he replaced Martin Bandier as EMI's Chairman and CEO. Faxon is a veteran music and media business executive whose career has included leadership posts with some of the world's best-known music, film and television companies. Having previously been Chief Financial Officer and an executive director of London-based EMI Group plc, in January 2005, he was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of EMI Music Publishing.  

Martin Bandier, Chairman and CEO of Sony/ATV Music Publishing since April 1, 2007, was re-elected to the Board. During Bandier’s 18-year tenure at the helm of EMI, the company catapulted to great success. A longtime NMPA member, Bandier is a respected voice in the industry. His many achievements include numerous and consecutive years as Publisher of the Year by ASCAP, BMI and Billboard Magazine.

The other  members of the NMPA Board are:  Lionel Conway, Stage Three Music; Freddy Bienstock, Carlin America, Inc.; Helene Blue, Anna Teresa Music; Arnold Broido, Theodore Presser Co.; Bob Doyle, Major Bob Music; John Eastman, MPL Communications, Inc.; Nicholas Firth, BMG Music Publishing; Dean Kay, Demi Music Corp.; Maxyne Lang, Williamson Music; Leeds Levy, One Four Three Music; Evan Medow, Windswept Pacific Holdings LLC; Stanley Mills, September Music Corp.; Ralph Peer, peermusic; David Renzer, Universal Music Publishing; and Irwin Z. Robinson, Famous Music Publishing.

The members were elected by existing Board members earlier this month to fill Board vacancies.
